Subsidies & grants

Many of our customers fund the installation of sorting systems with external financing such as subsidies and grants. Here we introduce the programs available for installing equipment and how they have been used for our systems. If you are not sure which program your business could use, try the navigator.

The information here is based on public information as of August 2026. Application periods and requirements change, so check the latest information published by each program's secretariat. The programs listed are Japanese national programs available to businesses operating in Japan.

Five subsidies well suited to funding equipment and one grant for customers who plan to raise wages. Subsidies are awarded through a competitive review; grants are paid once the requirements are met.

Best suited toMid-sized and larger agricultural corporations and businesses aiming to start or expand agricultural support services such as contract sorting

Subsidy rate: Fixed amount (software projects) + up to 1/2 (hardware projects)
Maximum amount: ¥30 million (software) + up to ¥300 million (hardware)
Eligibility: Agricultural corporations and private companies providing or expanding agricultural support services

Small and Medium Enterprise AgencyMatched program

New Business Expansion and Manufacturing, Commerce and Services Subsidy (新事業進出・ものづくり商業サービス補助金)

Best suited toSMEs and agricultural corporations launching produce sorting as a new business

※ Applications aimed only at improving the efficiency of an existing business are not eligible.

Subsidy rate: Up to 1/2 (2/3 for small enterprises)
Maximum amount: ¥25 million to ¥70 million

New Farmer Development Comprehensive Measures (新規就農者育成総合対策)

Best suited toYoung new farmers. If you qualify, a flexible and easy-to-use program with a wide range of eligible uses

Subsidy rate: Up to 1/2 national + up to 1/4 prefectural
Maximum amount: Up to ¥6 million
Eligibility: New farmers aged 49 or under who started farming within the last three years

Regional Agricultural Structural Transformation Support Measures (地域農業構造転換支援対策)

Best suited toLarge projects with a total investment above ¥20 million. The subsidy rate is lower, but the maximum amount is high

Maximum amount: Up to ¥15 million for individuals / ¥30 million for corporations
Eligibility: Farm successors designated in the target map of a regional plan

Small and Medium Enterprise AgencyMatched program

SME Labor-Saving Investment Subsidy, General Type (中小企業省力化投資補助金（一般型）)

Best suited toOpen to any industry if the goal is to save labor or staffing. Has been used to fund our systems

Subsidy rate: Up to 1/2 (2/3 for small enterprises and similar)
Maximum amount: ¥7.5 million to ¥80 million (varies with number of employees)

Business Improvement Grant (業務改善助成金)

Best suited toAn extra option for customers who plan to raise wages

※ Equipment purchased before the grant decision is not eligible.

Grant rate: 4/5 to 3/4 (varies with the workplace minimum wage)
Maximum amount: ¥400,000 to ¥6 million (varies with the size of the wage increase and the workplace)
Eligibility: Businesses raising the minimum wage at their workplace
